Madan grew up without his parents in an orphanage. His twelve years in elementary school and his education as an artist has provided little help in finding jobs. In a country without social security, not having a family makes it veryss hard to build a life.

Madan worked temporarily as an auxiliary teacher at a school before he started in Watabaran. Madan has been working in Watabaran from the very beginning, and he is very dedicated to Watabaran and its goals. With his own experience as an orphan, he feels great compassion for the many unemployed orphans in Nepal. You can see the fire in his eyes when he talks about creating more work for underprivileged Nepalese people.

Madan is an artist, painting Watabaran's products. To be able to handle his contacts as president of the organization, he has taken extra English classes at Watabaran.
